Description
Job Summary
Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS/Tele) registered nurses are needed in Anchorage, Alaska. The position involves working within an acute hospital setting specializing in adult and geriatric patient care. This role requires the ability to float within the scope of practice and provides an excellent opportunity to work in a Magnet facility with a focus on oncology and chemo administration.
Job Details
- Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid Allied Health Certification, BLS Certification, Alaska registered nursing license (pending licensure ok, must have license in hand for auto-offer), 0 years minimum experience, reside at least 50 miles from the facility, able to complete Alaska RN license application within 48 hours of signing, must be willing to work two major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year)
- At least 1 year of experience in a similar role or specialty preferred
- Preferred Qualifications: Oncology experience and chemo administration familiarity are desirable but not required
- Additional Information: This assignment is for 13 weeks starting as soon as possible. Travelers may work a maximum of 1 calendar year in this assignment, with a minimum 6-month break before returning. The candidate must be willing to work in a unit that could have more frequent weekend coverage than every other. The role involves using Epic electronic charting, and referenced competencies include Med/Surg, rapid response, peripheral line care, and non-invasive airway management.
