Job Summary
Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS/Tele) Registered Nurse (RN) Night Shift Location unspecified. This role involves providing direct patient care within a Magnet designated Level II Trauma acute hospital. The position utilizes a co-care/virtual nursing model, supporting patients through bedside and remote nursing assistance, with an emphasis on adult and geriatric populations.
Job Details
- Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: Valid RN license in the state, specializing in Medical Surgical with Telemetry; 1 year of relevant clinical experience; valid RN license in hand required for auto-offer; Night Shift; minimum 1 year of experience; flexible for float within scope.
- Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum 48 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: BLS certification; proficiency in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias; use of rapid response and code teams; peripheral line care and management; oxygen administration including nasal cannula and tanks; non-invasive airway management; adherence to isolation precautions/PPE.
- Additional Information: The unit operates with a virtual co-care/nursing modeleach patient has a bedside RN, a virtual RN working remotely, and a CNA. The virtual RN assists with admissions, discharge education, care plans, and follow-up with physicians. Candidates must have AK RN license in hand for auto-offer, with pending license accepted during application.
- Submission Requirements: Candidates must respond to whether they have worked at a Providence facility previously, providing location and dates if applicable. Two references covering the last 1 year (6 months for CNAs) are required.
