Description

Job Summary:
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse in Torrance, CA. This position entails providing emergency healthcare services in a high-volume acute care hospital setting. The role requires delivering quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, adhering to facility protocols and safety standards.

Job Details:

  • Location: Torrance, CA
  • Shift: Nights, 12 hours per shift
  • Schedule: 36 hours per week, with every other weekend shifts (6-8 shifts per contract)
  • Required Qualifications: California state license; Certifications in ACLS, BCLS, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS), PALS, Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC); Minimum 2 years of ER experience; Community hospital experience preferred; Patient ratio experience of 4; Charting experience with Epic required; Ability to manage arterial lines, ventilated patients, and perform trauma assessments.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Level I and Level II Trauma Centers, pediatric emergency care, and experience with complex procedures such as ICP monitoring, blood product administration, and procedural sedation.
  • Additional Information: The candidate must be willing to float to Pediatric units and other designated units as needed, with proper support. The assignment requires completing modules, including non-billable training hours, with a focus on emergency procedures and patient safety protocols. Must have a fire safety card obtained within the last 30 days. References covering 1 year (6 months for CNAs) are required.
