Job Summary
The Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) is seeking an experienced healthcare professional for a position located in Santa Monica, California. This role involves providing specialized patient care in the postoperative recovery setting. The schedule includes 12-hour shifts starting between 09:00 and 11:00 on weekdays, with an average of six on-call shifts per six-week schedule period. The position offers a dynamic environment with interdisciplinary support and a focus on high-quality patient recovery.

Job Details

• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, days, minimum of 36 hours per week, starting on 09/14/2026.
• Required Qualifications: At least 1 year of experience in Post Anesthesia Care Unit including arterial line management, care of ventilated patients, central venous pressure (CVP) monitoring, dysrhythmia recognition/management, and experience with Electronic Medical Record systems (Epic). Certifications required are ACLS, BLS, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a community hospital setting, trauma level II experience, and familiarity with interdisciplinary teams such as IV teams, respiratory services, and rapid response teams are preferred.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS.
• Additional Information: The position requires flexible availability for on-call shifts, including weeknights and weekends, with the ability to float between units if necessary. Candidates must be licensed in California or hold a valid compact license from another state. References covering the last three years are required, with two references to verify clinical competence.
• Note: There is a need to include RTO and scheduling preferences during application, with specific holiday work commitments. The facility does not accept Nursys or background check hits and requires a 3-month return policy for staff. Candidates should not contact the facility directly unless scheduled for an interview.
