Description

Job Summary:
Emergency Room Registered Nurse in Olympia, Washington. This position involves providing urgent care in a Level I stroke, cardiac, and trauma center within a large short-term acute care facility. The role requires delivering high-quality patient care across diverse age groups in a high-volume environment with a patient census of approximately 170 daily.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid state licensed Registered Nurse (RN) license, at least 2 years of ER experience, 4 patient ratio experience, proficiency with Epic electronic charting system, certifications: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC).
  • Preferred Qualifications: Trauma level II experience, large facility experience, experience with arterial line management, ventilation management, central line care, continuous IV sedation, ABG interpretation, dysrhythmia interpretation, isolation precautions, management of multisystem organ dysfunction/failure.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required between like units within skill set.
  • Additional Information: This role involves managing a high patient volume at a Level I stroke, cardiac, and trauma center functioning as a level II facility. Candidates must be flexible with working some holidays and available for rapid start.

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years ER experience required.
  • Licensing: Compact license accepted, with quick start preferred.
  • Travel & Scheduling: No local candidates; candidates must commit to contractual schedule with preferred flexibility for a 7-day offer window, including working three of five major holidays.
  • References: Two references covering a minimum of 1 year within the last 3 years are required.
  • Submission Requirements: Must respond to pre-submission questions regarding past employment at Providence facilities and include appropriate references.
