Description
Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery (L&D) Registered Nurse (RN) position in Spokane, Washington. This role involves providing high-risk obstetric care within a Level II Trauma Center that handles approximately 300 deliveries annually. The RN will support patient care across various obstetric units, including antepartum, labor and delivery, and postpartum, ensuring safe and effective care for mother and newborns.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shifts with 12 hours per shift, minimum 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications and Certifications: Valid Washington or Compact RN license, ACLS, BLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate certification, 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery, high-risk obstetric care, and related certifications
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with high-risk antepartum, use of intrauterine pressure catheters, central lines (CVC/PICC), and maternal emergencies
- Float: Float rotation may be required between units and sister facilities
- Additional Information: This position involves caring for neonatal and obstetric patients, managing high-risk conditions such as pre-eclampsia, diabetes, multiple gestations, and facilitating procedures like sterile vaginal exams, fetal monitoring, and assisting with deliveries. The RN will participate in patient education, emergency response, and postpartum care in a busy, level II trauma obstetric unit.
