Description
Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) position in Spokane, Washington. This role involves providing high-quality obstetric care within a Level II Trauma Center alongside a dedicated team. The position requires flexibility to float between units, with a focus on managing high-risk pregnancies and delivery procedures.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid Washington or Compact RN license; ACLS, BLS, NRP certifications; 0 years of experience; knowledge of high-risk labor and delivery procedures, including antepartum management, induction, augmentation, and maternal emergencies
- Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in a Labor and Delivery department with high-risk patient care; proficiency with Epic electronic charting system; recent experience with complex obstetric cases including VBAC/TOLAC and multiple gestations
- Float: Float: Float rotation may be required
- Additional Information: The role involves managing a variety of obstetric conditions such as pre-eclampsia, diabetes, and placental issues. Responsibilities include monitoring patient vitals, assisting with sterile exams, and supporting labor, delivery, and postpartum care. The unit handles approximately 200-300 births per month and supports neonatal and maternal emergencies using advanced equipment and protocols.
