Description
Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) position located in Spokane, Washington. This role involves providing specialized obstetric care in a Level II Trauma Center setting. The nurse will support high-risk pregnancies and assist with delivering compassionate maternal and neonatal services, working nights on a flexible schedule.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, 48 hours minimum per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid Washington State or Compact Registered Nurse (RN) license; certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and American Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) Intermediate.
- Special Requirements: Experience in acute care high-risk labor and delivery, antepartum, pre-eclampsia, diabetes, multiples, VBAC/TOLAC, active management of laboring patients, induction/augmentation, and maternal emergencies.
- Float: Float rotation may be required between units or facilities.
- Additional Information: The role supports a facility with approximately 200-300 births per month, performing high-risk obstetric procedures such as cerclages, versions, and high-risk maternal-fetal medicine cases. Responsibilities include use of fetal monitoring, sterile vaginal exams, administering medications and blood products, assisting with deliveries, and postpartum care. The unit provides interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams.
