Description
Job Summary:
Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) specialist position available in Albuquerque, New Mexico. This role involves providing critical care to adult and geriatric patients with complex cardiovascular conditions. The selected candidate will join a dynamic team focusing on advanced patient management and collaboration with interdisciplinary support teams.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights shift with 12-hour days, minimum of 48 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Certifications including Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS); at least 2 years of experience in a Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) involving arterial line management, ventilator management, CVA/Acute Stroke care, and other advanced procedures; location in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
- Preferred Qualifications: Previous travel experience preferred; experience with complex cardiovascular procedures and patient management.
- Float: Float rotation may be required to like units within scope as needed based on facility needs.
- Additional Information: The role supports adult and geriatrics patient populations with a daily census of approximately 10 patients. The unit fosters interdisciplinary collaboration with departments like respiratory therapy, radiology, pharmacy, and social services. Orientation includes 24 hours of training, and candidates need to complete labs within 48 business hours after contract signing.
