Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Nurse (L&D) for a healthcare facility located in the area. This role involves providing professional nursing direct patient care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum periods. The position emphasizes a collaborative, interdisciplinary approach, ensuring quality care for mothers and newborns in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Certificates in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) Intermediate and Advanced certifications, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP). At least 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery, with current certifications and appropriate licensing.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM), postpartum care, and neonatal resuscitation.
• Float: Float rotation may be required, approximately 0-3 times per month, assisting in various capacities such as helping hands, sitter/camera watching, or CNA-type work.
• Additional Information: The role includes responsibilities such as assisting with high-risk deliveries, performing sterile exams, neonatal care, patient education, and handling obstetric emergencies. The unit supports diverse patient age groups including neonates, adolescents, and adults, with a daily census of 1-4 patients.
