Job Summary:
Surgical Technician / Operating Room Technician in Rochester, New York. This position involves providing specialized support in surgical procedures within the operating room environment. The candidate will assist with a variety of complex surgical cases, ensuring sterile techniques and proper instrument handling to facilitate smooth surgical workflows.

Job Details:

• Shift Schedule: Day shifts, 10 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Certification as a Surgical Technician (CST), NY state license in hand, at least 1 year of clinical experience as a surgical technician.
• Skills: Experience with general operating room procedures, handling instruments for various surgeries including laparoscopic, vascular, orthopedic, and gynecological cases; knowledge of decontamination and sterilization processes; familiarity with electronic charting systems, specifically EPIC; ability to work in a fast-paced surgical environment requiring adaptability and precision.
• Travel Experience Required: Yes.
• Additional Information: Candidates must be able to float across multiple surgical units and work 6 shifts during each 8-week cycle, including weekends and holidays. The role requires the ability to manage sterile technique, specimen handling, sharps safety, and adherence to universal protocols.
