Description

Job Summary:
The IMCU (Intermediate Care Unit) Registered Nurse (RN) position is based in a healthcare facility in Plattsburgh, New York. The role involves supporting the float team during night shifts and requires adaptability to meet the units operational needs. The assignment scheduled to start on September 7, 2026, offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with the potential for an assignment lasting between 13 to 20 weeks.

Job Details:

  • Float: Float rotation may be required.
  • Required Qualifications:
    • Valid NY license or proof of application with applied date; license processing time is 6-8 weeks
    • AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
    • AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
    • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification prior to start
    • Minimum of 1 year telemetery (tele) nursing experience
    • Experience with insulin drips, cardiac drips, starting IVs, post-cardiac catheterization
    • Epic electronic medical record (EMR) experience within the past 2 years
  • Additional Information:
    • Assignment is for 13-20 weeks, with a start ASAP.
    • No block schedules are permitted.
    • Bi-weekly orientations planned on Mondays.
    • All employment gaps over 90 days must be explained.
    • Complete work history including bed count, EMR, facility type, etc., is required for submission.
    • Reliable transportation is strongly recommended, including personal or rental vehicles during months of November through April.
