Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) position located in Chicago, Illinois. The RN is responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, supervising nursing staff, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans. This role emphasizes patient safety, clinical competence, and effective communication within a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid BLS (Basic Life Support) certification prior to first shift, valid ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification prior to first shift (CIRH only), minimum of two (2) years bedside clinical experience.
- Specialty: Progressively Care Unit (PCU).
- Experience: 0.0 years minimum required.
- Location: 516 S Loomis Street, Chicago, Illinois 60607.
- Additional Information: The RN will perform admission assessments within 8 hours, develop and communicate care plans, participate in patient rehabilitation, initiate discharge planning, and provide patient education. The role includes supervising ancillary staff, ensuring safety protocols are followed, and contributing to a positive work environment through team collaboration.
- Notes: This position may include charge responsibilities following successful orientation and encourages ongoing professional development through continuing education and self-study.
