Job Summary:
Emergency Room Nurse in Spokane Valley, Washington. This position involves delivering high-quality emergency care in a Level 3 Trauma Center with a 21-bed facility. The role requires providing care to a diverse patient population, including geriatric, pediatric, and various adult patients, with a focus on trauma, stroke, respiratory, and abdominal conditions.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with a 12-hour shift cycle and a minimum of 36 hours per week. The schedule includes a 6-week cycle, with rotating shifts as specified.
• Required Qualifications: Valid licensure and certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI or MOAB, and NIHSS. A minimum of 2 years of experience in emergency care is preferred; candidates must meet all licensure and certification requirements.
• Preferred Qualifications: 5 years of experience in the specialty and in the use of electronic medical records (EMR) systems similar to EPIC.
• Support on the Unit: Phlebotomy-certified ER technicians available 24/7, resource nurses, and cross-trained staff including ER techs with US-guided IV training.
• Technology/Equipment: Experience with EPIC EMR system, Alaris IV pumps, and Pyxis medication dispensing systems.
• Orientation: One-week orientation including EPIC training, skills check-offs, and site-specific onboarding, with precepted shifts scheduled to ensure proficiency.
• Additional Notes: Scrub color is flexible; parking is free. The facility does not have a dedicated catheterization lab but manages emergent cases via interventional radiology and transfers cardiac patients to a nearby facility with a 24-hour cardiac catheterization lab.
