Job Summary:

Operating Room Open Heart Nurse in GRAND JUNCTION, Colorado. This role involves performing independent nursing functions and delegated medical tasks in accordance with accepted practice standards. The nurse will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, provide health education and counseling, and execute delegated medical functions to support patient well-being within a dynamic procedural environment.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Rotating shift, 10 hours per day, variable hours, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: ASN (Associate of Science in Nursing) degree from an accredited school of nursing, current license as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice, BLS (American Heart Association) certification, and at least 1 year of nursing experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree of Nursing, previous experience as a Registered Nurse in a surgical or cardiac setting.
• Additional Information: May be required to float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications based on business needs. On-call duties may be required during scheduled shifts. The role involves clinical responsibilities including health data assessment, health teaching, health counseling, therapy and treatment planning, execution of medical functions, patient referral, treatment plan monitoring, and documentation.
