Job Summary:
The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) specialty position is based in Laguna Hills, California. This role involves providing high-level neonatal care in a Level III or higher acuity environment. The position requires a committed healthcare professional to deliver quality bedside and charge nursing services within a 12-hour night shift schedule.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 3x12H Nights 19:00 - 07:30, minimum 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Certifications include BLS, NRP, Advanced NRP; valid California license; at least 3 years of solid NICU experience in a Level III or IV environment; experience in high acuity care, including 1:1 and 1:2 patient ratios, and high-risk delivery/admits; demonstrated experience with Neonates less than 24 weeks, 24-28 weeks, and 29-34 weeks; familiarity with medication administration, neonatal procedures, and advanced monitoring systems; proficiency with EPIC charting system and SBAR communication system.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with electronic fetal heart monitoring (EFM), neonatal dosages, and neonatal abstinence syndrome management is advantageous.
• Float: Float rotation may be required between labor & delivery and other units as needed.
• Additional Information: The candidate will be both bedside and charge nurse, with opportunities for a charge bump for shifts worked as charge. The position may involve floating within the hospital based on census. Applicants should be prepared for orientation, including modules and training hours. Proper RTO must be submitted at the time of application.
