Description

Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) Orange, CA. This position involves providing specialized nursing care within the Labor and Delivery department at a busy acute care hospital. The RN will be responsible for managing maternal and newborn patient care, ensuring optimal outcomes through evidence-based practices. The assignment is scheduled for nights, with a start date of 09/15/2026.

Job Details:

Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
Required Qualifications: Valid California license in hand, BLS and NRP certifications, minimum 1 year of experience in Labor and Delivery, experience with patient ratios of 4, and proficiency with Epic charting system.
Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in a Level I or Level II trauma setting, demonstrated ability to discharge teaching to parents, and experience with postpartum care.
Float: Float rotation may be required between units or facilities within the state.
Additional Information:
- Experience with postpartum, neonatal assessment, phototherapy, and labor/delivery procedures.
- Willingness to work a block schedule at the discretion of the manager.
- RTO restrictions apply; must include RTO requests at time of submission.
- Must respond to specific candidate questions regarding previous employment at a Providence facility, recent fire card, and references covering the past three years.
- No open license hits preferred; license and background checks must be clear prior to start.
- Must be willing to work 3 of the 5 major holidays.
