Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Nurse in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. This role requires providing competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards within a hospital setting. The position involves coordinating patient care utilizing the nursing process, with responsibilities including patient assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation. The nurse will participate in interdisciplinary collaboration and support patient and family education.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Day shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN or ASN) from an accredited school of Nursing; Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina; Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification (AHA or ARC); one year of nursing experience
• Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited school of Nursing
• Additional Information: Demonstrates competence in care of patients with complex problems, performs bedside point of care testing as required, utilizes healthcare organization and nursing standards, policies, and procedures, and promotes a safe hospital environment. Strong communication skills and ability to prioritize tasks for patients with complex needs are essential.
