Job Summary
The organization is seeking an Ambulatory Oncology Infusion Registered Nurse (RN) in Baltimore, Maryland. This position involves providing patient-centered infusion care in a fast-paced outpatient setting, emphasizing safety, proficiency in IV insertions, and patient education. The RN will administer chemotherapy, biological, and immunotherapy treatments, ensuring adherence to clinical protocols and delivering compassionate care.
Job Details
- Position: Ambulatory Oncology Infusion RN
- Location: Baltimore, Maryland
- Schedule: Days shift, 10 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Active RN license; at least 2 years of RN experience; BLS certification; chemo, biological, and immunotherapy provider card; oncology infusion experience; proficiency in peripheral intravenous insertion; peripheral blood drawing skills; ability to access, maintain, and de-access central lines; strong assessment skills; experience with Epic/Beacon software; very experienced in IV insertions; previous oncology infusion experience; ambulatory care experience preferred; travel experience preferred; some emergency room experience preferred; ONS/OCC chemotherapy card; must have worked previously within any Johns Hopkins facility in any capacity; prior travel experience preferred
- Additional Information: Must have experience as an oncology nurse with competence in chemo administration and peripheral IV skills. The role requires rapid assessment and intervention in an emergency-prone environment. The infusion center offers a patient-focused, supportive setting.
