Job Summary:
Psychiatric Nurse specializing in mental health care in a hospital setting located in a scenic region of the United States. This role involves delivering coordinated nursing care to adult psychiatric patients across two behavioral health units, with an emphasis on safety, patient-centered care, and interdisciplinary collaboration. The position requires supervisory responsibilities and adherence to established standards of care within a dynamic mental health environment.

Job Details:

• Location: Based in a healthcare facility in a region known for its outdoor recreation, fine dining, and scenic beauty, with convenient access to nearby urban centers and coastlines.
• Schedule: 12-hour daytime shifts from 06:30 AM to 07:00 PM, totaling a minimum of 48 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor; Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) or Techniques for Effective Aggression Management (TEAM) or TEAM-A certification; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS); Pediatric Advanced Life Support (AHA-PALS or ARC-PALS); at least 2 years of experience working with adult and behavioral health patients, including familiarity with electronic health record systems such as EPIC.
• Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN); experience in acute care or psychiatric settings.
• Essential Functions: Collects pertinent patient data, analyzes assessment information to determine diagnosis and care plans, implements interventions, and evaluates patient outcomes. Collaborates with patients, families, and healthcare teams to develop and execute comprehensive care plans. Provides education to patients and families, participates in discharge planning, and delegates responsibilities appropriately within the healthcare team. Performs all other duties related to patient safety and quality care as assigned.
• Additional Information: The position includes possible call responsibilities and requires flexibility to support patient needs across multiple behavioral health units, including adult psychiatric units. EPIC electronic health record system experience is mandatory.
