Description

Job Summary:
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) nurse position in Burlington, Vermont. This role involves providing specialized care in a level III NICU environment, working rotating day and night shifts. The position requires flexibility across various neonatal units and includes weekend work on a bi-weekly basis.

Job Details:

  • Shift: Rotating day and night shifts, approximately 12 hours per shift.
  • Schedule: Monday through Sunday, with bi-weekly orientation on Mondays.
  • Required Qualifications:
    • Certifications: AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP).
    • Education: NICU level III experience is required, with NICU level designations detailed in employment history.
    • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of NICU experience required; teaching facility experience preferred.
    • Additional Skills: EPIC electronic medical record system experience within the past 2 years is mandatory.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Secondary certifications such as STABLE and RNC-NIC are a plus.
    • Previous travel experience is preferred; if not, extensive NICU experience in large teaching facilities is required.
  • Additional Information:
    • Nursing professionals must have reliable transportation, with all-season or snow tires during winter months.
    • All employment history must be fully documented, including bed counts and facility type.
    • No block scheduling; flexibility is essential.
    • Expectation of working every other weekend, with potential for more scheduled weekends if needed.
