Description

Job Summary:
The organization is seeking an Emergency Room (ER) Nurse in Washington, DC. This position involves managing patients in a fast-paced emergency environment, handling critical care procedures, and providing high-quality patient care across a diverse patient population. The role requires adherence to established clinical protocols and delivering compassionate care.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per day, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Must live at least 50 miles away from the facility; current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state/district; ER experience of at least 1 year; graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program; BSN degree (highly desired); travel experience preferred
  • Preferred Qualifications: NIHSS, TNCC, BLS, PALS, and ACLS certifications required; experience in fast-paced emergency department settings preferred
  • Additional Information: The emergency department is a high-energy environment that manages a variety of patient cases, including urgent care, psych, pediatric, and trauma patients. Responsibilities include coordinating and delivering care to patients with complex nursing needs, managing medication titrations, arterial lines, and blood transfusions, to ensure safety and quality of care.
