Job Summary

Orange, California The organization is seeking an Infection Control specialist to join the team on a full-time basis. This role involves working independently to support infection prevention initiatives within an acute care hospital setting. The successful candidate will utilize their expertise to uphold safety standards and ensure compliance with infection control protocols, primarily working weekdays with no weekends or holidays.

Job Details

  • Schedule: Dayshift, 8-hour shifts, minimum of 40 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Infection Prevention experienceworking independently, degree in Public Health, Laboratory Sciences, Microbiology, or related health science field; at least 1 year of relevant experience; CIC (Certified in Infection Control) certification; California state license or valid compact license in hand at submission; minimum of 1 year of experience
  • Preferred Qualifications: Epic experience; previous experience in an acute care hospital environment; experience working with electronic charting systems; experience working with community hospital patient populations
  • Additional Information: This role does not require an RN license. The position involves working in an acute care hospital with a total staffed bed count of 426, located within 50 miles of the candidate's residence. The facility offers free parking. Candidates must be available to start on 09/15/2026, with the ability to work at least 3 of the 5 designated holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve, New Years Day). All scheduling and RTO requests must be communicated during submission. The position may require floating between nearby sister facilities, and refusal to float may impact employment. Communication devices needed for duties will be supplied or reimbursed by the client as per policy. All modules are non-billable and should be completed per the outlined requirements.
