Job Summary:
Cardiovascular Technologist specializing in Cardiac Catheterization in York, Pennsylvania. This position involves working in an advanced invasive cardiology unit that performs over 6,000 procedures annually, including complex coronary interventions, structural heart procedures, and ventricular assist device support. The role requires supporting high-acuity cardiac patients in a fast-paced, highly specialized environment.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Day shift will work 10-hour shifts between 6 a.m. and 7 p.m., with weekends as needed. Candidates must be willing to stay until the last patient is cared for. Call is required but minimal, as needed.
- Required Qualifications: Certification in ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) and BLS (Basic Life Support); at least 2 years of experience in a cardiac catheterization laboratory; experience with charting systems, specifically EPIC; valid Pennsylvania license (if applicable); proficiency in procedures including cardiac catheterizations, PCI, pacemaker/ICD implants, and invasive procedures, with skills such as End-Tidal CO2 monitoring, hemostasis management, and use of vascular closure systems.
- Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience with complex cardiac procedures, VAD/ECMO support, structural heart interventions, and familiarity with multidisciplinary cardiac care.
- Additional Information: The unit comprises 4 dedicated Cardiac Catheterization Labs, 3 electrophysiology labs, and 2 shared labs, with pre/post-procedure bays. This role involves supporting a variety of advanced cardiovascular procedures, including TAVR, PFO/ASD closures, and pulmonary embolism interventions. Candidates may care for COVID-19 patients. The facility is tobacco and fragrance free.
