Description

Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) Nurse in Lynchburg, Virginia. This role involves working in a busy surgical environment with a focus on vascular, neuro, and robotic-assisted procedures. The position requires adaptability to various shift schedules, including call rotations, and engagement with clinical teams and students within a teaching hospital setting.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Day shifts held on 08/12 hours shifts, with a total of 40 hours per week. The schedule includes two 8-hour day shifts (6:45 am - 3:15 pm) and two 12-hour day shifts (6:45 am - 7:15 pm), with up to 3 call shifts per week, including weekend call rotation.
  • Required Qualifications:
    • Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in the Operating Room specialty
    • Active VA (Virginia) or Compact Nursing License at the time of submission
    • BLS certification
    • Cerner experience preferred
    • Valid VA or Compact license required at the time of submission
    • All requested time-off (RTO) must be documented in the application packet
    • Prior travel experience in similar roles is required for all Centra positions, with scrub and circulate experience required, including vascular, neuro, and da Vinci robotics experience.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Experience with vascular, neuro, and robotic surgeries
  • Additional Information:
    • Orientation scheduled for 09/08/2026 and 09/21/2026, held every other Monday only
    • No more than 3 call shifts per week, Monday through Friday, and no more than 3 weekends in a 6-week period
    • Locals are not accepted for this assignment
    • The facility is a teaching hospital with frequent interactions with students and new hires, encouraging a supportive, team-oriented environment
    • The client can cancel up to 36 hours prior to the start of the assignment due to census fluctuations
