Description
Job Summary:
Operating Room Open Heart (OR OH) in Austin, Texas. This position involves working within a specialized cardiovascular surgery unit, providing perioperative care for cardiac procedures such as CABG, valve repairs, and other advanced cardiac surgeries. The role requires collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes during complex surgeries.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Dayshift, 10-hour shifts, minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Candidates must have 0 or more years of experience, with certifications in Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) and cardiovascular surgical procedures. Experience in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) surgery is required.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with procedures such as CABG, Aortic/Mitral Valve Repair/Replacement, TAVR, TMVR, and MitraClip is preferred.
- Additional Information: The unit is a busy cardiovascular surgery department, equipped with surgical instruments, Bovie cautery, EVH video tower, laparoscopic and surgical towers, cryo system, IABP and Impella consoles, patient warming/cooling systems, and EMR systems using Meditech. The team values mature, teamwork-oriented, flexible individuals who are punctual and possess good attendance. Scrubs are provided, and the dress code emphasizes professional attire appropriate for a sterile environment.
