Job Summary:
This Medical Surgical with Telemetry registered nurse position is located in a healthcare facility in Bridgeport, West Virginia. The role involves providing acute care nursing services on a unit specializing in cardiac and telemetry patients. It is suited for nurses seeking a 12-hour night shift schedule, starting in late August 2026.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, nights; minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); valid licensure; relevant nursing degree; and a minimum of 0 years of experience.
• Common diagnoses/types of patients: Cardiac patients, post-catheterization, acute myocardial infarction (AMI), post-operative lung surgeries, respiratory failure, chest tubes, pacemakers, post-percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), with specific patient stabilization and monitoring needs.
• Nursing Ratios & Assistants: Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5-6; RNs must be able to titrate drips including heparin, insulin, nitro; float to MedSurg units as needed; CNA-to-patient ratio of approximately 1:12; approximately 3 CNAs on days, 2 on nights, with duties including blood sugar checks.
• Respiratory Equipment: CPAP and BiPAP only; respiratory treatments managed by RT staff.
• Telemetry & Monitoring: Phillips monitors; RNs required to read and interpret strips; telemetry available on the unit.
• Floating & Dress Code: Floating to MedSurg/Tele units; staff expected to adhere to designated dress code of royal blue scrubs.
• Orientation: Multiple shifts of unit-specific orientation with preceptorship provided.
• Additional notes: Phone/email/on-site onboarding, and the unit participates in holiday rotation schedules.
• Start Date: 08/31/2026.
