Job Summary:
The Step Down Unit Nurse is a registered nursing professional based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This role involves providing advanced care to patients requiring close monitoring and interventions in a progressive care environment. The nurse will be responsible for detailed patient assessments and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver quality care.

Job Details:

• Position: Step Down Unit Nurse
• Shift Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
• Start Date: 08/31/2026
• Experience Requirements: No minimum years of experience required; candidates should possess current licensure and relevant clinical skills
• Certifications/Education: Valid RN license, 2 years of Post-Certification Critical Care experience (including Progressive Care Unit or Telemetry) is preferred; experience with electronic documentation such as EPIC is required
• Responsibilities: Provides care for patients in a Step Down or Med-Surg Telemetry unit, demonstrating proficiency in patient assessment, medication administration, and documentation. Will be required to float within the clinical skill set or to sites within 40 miles as needed.
• Additional Information: The assignment involves working on a unit with the greatest staffing need based on the travelers skills and experience, with flexibility to float to similar units within the specified radius.
