Description

Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) San Antonio, TX. This position involves providing specialized care for antepartum and postpartum patients, as well as newborn nursery care within a hospital setting. The role requires a dedicated healthcare professional to deliver quality maternal and neonatal care, ensuring positive patient outcomes and experiences.

Job Details:

  • Location: San Antonio, TX
  • Shift Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, starting 09/14/2026
  • Required Qualifications: Valid and active Texas RN license; at least 2 years of hospital experience caring for antepartum and postpartum patients; Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; ability to care for high-risk antepartum patients; experience with newborn nursery care; proficiency in Meditech documentation system; floating policy as needed to Labor and Delivery area.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Advanced Fetal Monitoring (FM); RNC-OB certification; additional unit-specific certifications and advanced skills are a plus.
  • Patient Care Responsibilities: Providing antepartum and postpartum nursing care; newborn nursery procedures; ensuring patient safety and comfort; adhering to dress code with navy scrubs and maintaining professional appearance.
  • Other Guidelines: Must follow strict dress code policies, including neat and clean hair, no artificial nails, covered tattoos when possible, limited piercings, and appropriate body art coverage. Floating to Labor and Delivery unit may be required, and attendance policies must be followed.
