Description

Job Summary:
The ICU Cardiovascular Nurse is needed for a healthcare facility in Tucson, Arizona. This position involves working during the night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM with a schedule of 3/12's. The role requires providing specialized patient care within the Intensive Care Unit with a focus on cardiovascular cases. The candidate will be responsible for managing complex cardiac and ICU patients, including ventilator management and vasoactive drips, with potential for float to other units such as Medical ICU and Progressive Care Unit.

Job Details:

  • Location: Tucson, Arizona
  • Position: Intensive Care Unit Cardiovascular Nurse
  • Schedule: Night shift, 7:00 PM 7:30 AM, 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Arizona license, Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), 2+ years of experience in cardiac/ICU settings, ICU or cardiovascular specialty experience, ventilator and vasoactive drips management skills, willingness to float to other units
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with open heart procedures, balloon pump, continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT), post coronary artery bypass graft surgery, STEMI care, intra-vascular procedures
  • Additional Information:
    • 15 beds in the unit with patient ratios of 2:1
    • EMR system used is Cerner
    • Scrub colors are flexible, any solid color
    • Open to candidates with no minimum experience specified, but a minimum of one year experience is implied by the position creation reason
    • Will be on call as needed, with the on-call status specified as non-coverage
    • Position is a replacement of permanent staff
