Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical Surgical with Telemetry in Longview, TX. This position involves providing care to a mix of patients with various diagnoses and acuity levels, including respiratory conditions, sepsis, and multiple co-morbidities. The role requires independently practicing in a dynamic clinical environment, utilizing advanced nursing skills to deliver both routine and complex patient care.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, totaling 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (preferred), current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA only), current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (AHA only), RN License in the state of Texas or a compact license.
• Preferred Qualifications: Two years of experience in a related nursing specialty.
• Responsibilities: Provide nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation. Administer medications and treatments according to protocol, monitor for side effects and effectiveness, document patient history and care provided, and assess learning needs for patients and families to provide education. Make appropriate clinical assignments and collaborate with care team members to coordinate patient care.
• Additional Information: Newly hired experienced RNs must attend a comprehensive orientation and participate in an organizational residency program or specialized onboarding. Competency validation and annual re-certification are mandatory.
