Job Summary:
Preoperative Registered Nurse position in Covington, Washington. This role involves providing essential nursing care in the preoperative setting, preparing patients for surgical procedures, and ensuring patient safety and comfort. The position requires clinical expertise in assessment, patient education, and discharge planning within a community hospital environment.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, 10 hours per day, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS); strong intravenous (IV) skills; experience in discharge procedures and patient education; assessment skills; pediatric, Phase 1 recovery, and Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) experience preferred but not mandatory; valid licensure as a registered nurse.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in Pediatric, Phase 1, and PACU settings is strongly preferred but not required.
• Additional Information: The position involves working at a community hospital with 58 beds, including 8 beds for outpatient and specialty services. On-call responsibilities are rotating, including weeknights and weekends, with specific schedules based on operational needs. Scrub color will be provided.
