Job Summary:
The PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit) nurse position is located in a healthcare facility in SAN MARCOS, TX. This role involves providing specialized recovery care to patients emerging from anesthesia, ensuring a safe and comfortable transition from the operative phase. The position requires the ability to manage diverse patient needs in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred; 2 years minimum experience in related nursing specialties, with critical care, preoperative, and EPIC electronic health record system experience highly recommended/preferred. Valid BLS (American Heart Association), ACLS (American Heart Association), and PALS (American Heart Association) certifications are required. RN license in the state of Texas or a compact license.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in perioperative nursing or recent practice in an OR/perioperative setting is preferred.
• Additional Information: The role involves assessing patient needs, administering medications and treatments, documenting clinical information, and providing education to patients and families. Candidates must attend new nurse orientation within the first 30 days of hire and complete all annual competency requirements.
