Description

Job Summary:
Emergency Room Registered Nurse in Lynchburg, Virginia. This position involves providing high-quality acute care in a Level 2 trauma emergency department. The role requires adherence to established protocols and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. The assignment begins on 09/08/2026 and involves night shifts, with orientation occurring every other Monday.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 48 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: At least 3 years of emergency department experience in a similar-sized emergency department and trauma level 1 or 2 experience, ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), BLS (Basic Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), and TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certifications are required. Trauma certification such as ATCN (Advanced Trauma Care for Nurses), TNCC, or ATLC (Advanced Trauma Life Support Certification) is required. Prior Cerner experience is strongly preferred. Active Virginia state or compact license is required at the time of submission. All requested time off must be submitted with the application packet at the time of submission.

  • Additional Information: PRIOR TRAVEL EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED FOR ALL CENTRA POSITIONS! Assignments end on Saturday. Must work every other weekend. Locals within 60 miles are not accepted. IVS to manager for approval. Client can cancel up to 36 hours prior to the assignment start date due to census fluctuations.
