Description

Job Summary
Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS TELE) registered nurses are needed to support a healthcare provider's Cardiac Direct Access unit in Boston, MA. This role involves providing efficient and effective moderate intensity cardiovascular care, including cardiac evaluation and monitoring, post-procedure care, and heart failure management. The position requires flexibility to work on a rotating 12-hour shift schedule, covering every other Friday night or every third Saturday. The work environment includes cardiac observation beds and infusion rooms, with collaboration among attending physicians, nurse practitioners, and clinical nurse colleagues.

Job Details

  • Schedule: 12-hour rotating shifts, with minimum of 36 hours per week, including every other Friday night or every third Saturday commitment. The shifts typically rotate every two weeks or as needed.
  • Required Qualifications: Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA). No minimum experience required.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Telemetry experience and cardiology background are highly recommended but not mandatory.
  • Additional Information: The department offers outpatient cardiology assessments and general cardiology ambulatory care in a hybrid setting. The unit is open 24 hours a day from Monday to Saturday, closing at 3:00 pm on Saturday, and reopens Monday at 7:00 am. It is closed on hospital observed holidays. Orientation occurs biweekly, and candidates must provide available dates and times for interviews at the time of submission. No local travelers are accepted (candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility). All candidates should be separated from any previous employment at the facility for at least six months, and parking costs may apply.
