Job Summary:
The profession is Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Progressive Care Unit (PCU) at a community-based healthcare facility in Clarkston, Washington. This role involves providing comprehensive nursing care in a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital setting, with responsibilities including patient education, safety measures, equipment operation, infection control, accurate documentation, and interdepartmental communication. The position requires flexibility across departments and adherence to clinical policies and procedures.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Day shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid Washington State (WA) registered nurse license; experience in Progressive Care Unit (PCU) or similar departments; completion of Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with telemetry monitoring and patient education; certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
• Float: Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: The RN must identify and meet patient education needs using appropriate methods, ensure patient safety through preventative measures, operate and troubleshoot medical equipment, and follow infection control protocols. Accurate and complete documentation of patient care activities, timely processing of physician orders, and effective communication during shift change are essential. The role also involves maintaining supplies and emergency carts, with other duties assigned as necessary.
