Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Nurse in Delano, California. This position involves delivering coordinated nursing care specific to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum periods. The role requires supervision of nursing staff, collaboration with healthcare providers, and patient education to ensure safe, effective, and compassionate care for mothers and newborns.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Rotating shift times, with a minimum of 40 hours per week, including 8-hour shifts.
• Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred; previous acute care facility experience preferred; valid Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice required; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor required; Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) or Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from an authorized provider required; Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) certification required.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience specifically in Labor and Delivery departments is highly advantageous.
• Additional Information: The role includes collecting relevant patient data, analyzing assessments, developing and implementing care plans, evaluating patient outcomes, and participating in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care. The nurse will delegate tasks appropriately and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to promote a safe, respectful, and attentive environment for mothers and their newborns.
