Job Summary:
The Emergency Room (ER) specialty position is located in a community hospital within Spokane Valley, Washington. This role involves providing emergency care for a diverse patient population, including geriatric, pediatric, and adult patients, with an emphasis on acute conditions such as stroke, chest pain, abdominal pain, and respiratory issues. The position requires a dedicated HCP with relevant certifications and experience to deliver high-quality, patient-centered emergency services.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, with a rotating schedule cycle of 6 weeks. Shift times include days (7a-7p, 7a-3p, 8a-4p, 9a-7p), nights (7p-7a), and mid shifts (10-10, 11-11, 12-12, 1-1, 3-3, 4p-2a).
• Required Qualifications: Valid BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI or MOAB, and NIHSS certifications; 2 years of ER experience; education appropriate for certification; licensure to practice in Washington; ability to work in a fast-paced ER environment.
• Preferred Qualifications: 5 years of experience in specialty, previous travel experience, and familiarity with EPIC electronic medical records.
• Support on the Unit: ER techs with phlebotomy certification (able to perform peripheral sticks), 24/7 laboratory support, and trained ER nurses capable of US-guided IV placement.
• Technology/Equipment: EPIC Electronic Medical Record system, Alaris IV pumps, Pyxis medication dispensing system.
• Orientation: One-week comprehensive orientation including EPIC training, skills check-off, site check-off, and precepted shifts.
• Additional Information: A collaborative team environment with multiple float support staff, no on-call requirements, and flexible scrub color. Parking is free for staff.
