Description
Job Summary:
Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) Registered Nurse position available in Spokane, Washington. This role involves providing specialized care to adult and geriatric patients recovering from cardiovascular surgeries, vascular surgeries, and other critical cardiac conditions. The position requires flexibility to float between units, with a focus on patient-centered care in a Level II Trauma Center.
Job Details:
- Shift: Nights, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid compact state license; at least 1 year of experience in an Intensive Care Unit with cardiovascular focus; ACLS and BLS certifications; experience with accessing/managing ports, arterial line management, chest tube procedures, vent management, and ICU patient care.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with electronic medical records system Epic; previous community hospital and ICU experience.
- Schedule: Self-scheduled; rotating through days, nights, and weekends as needed.
- Additional Information: Candidates must be flexible to work every other weekend, and may be required to work holidays. Orientation involves 36 hours of training prior to assignment. Candidates should be prepared to float between units and possibly between facilities. References covering the last 3 years are required, with at least 6 months in ICU roles.
