Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a Medical Surgical with Telemetry registered nurse for a short-term assignment in Lubbock, Texas. The selected candidate will provide high-quality care in a fast-paced, specialty unit that combines medical-surgical nursing with telemetry monitoring. This role involves floating between units and adhering to the facilitys standards for patient care.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid Texas licensed registered nurse (RN) license or valid compact license, at least 0 years of experience, proficiency in MS/Telemetry, interpretation, and management of dysrhythmias, familiarity with rapid response and code team activation, peripheral line care, oxygen administration, non-invasive airway management, isolation precautions/PPE, and neurology-specific care including neuro stepdown, post TPA care, seizure disorders, spinal cord injury, and intracranial bleed management.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in community hospital settings, neuro neurosurgical clientele, and electroencephalogram (EEG) monitoring preferred.
• Special Equipment: Viking Lift, Sara Steady, Hoovermat.
• Additional Information: The unit is dedicated to neuro-telemetry and stroke patients, with interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical and respiratory therapy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation. The environment is high-paced, with a focus on teamwork and critical neurological care.
