Description
Job Summary
L&D (Labor and Delivery) Department position in an unspecified location. This role involves providing specialized care for obstetrical patients, with shift options of 36 or 48 hours per week. The position is suitable for licensed professionals with experience in labor and delivery procedures and protocols.
Job Details
- Qualifications: ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, and NRP certifications (pending certs are acceptable); minimum of 2 years of experience in labor and delivery; valid credentials and current licensure in the applicable specialty.
- Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum 48 hours per week.
- Additional responsibilities: Assist with high risk delivery, assist with vaginal delivery, circulate for C-section, perform sterile vaginal exams, and monitor fetal heart activity using external fetal monitoring units.
- Preferred qualifications: Previous charge nurse experience, proficient in antepartum, anticoagulation therapy, antihypertensive management, and maintaining central lines (CVC/PICC).
- Additional Information: Must have experience with facility births per month between 100-200, and familiarity with triage of obstetrical patients, use of electronic fetal monitoring, and sterile procedures.
