Description
Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery (L&D) Nurse position in a hospital setting located in an unspecified location. This role involves providing obstetric care for neonatal and adult patients, with a focus on high-risk deliveries and obstetrical assessments. The assignment offers flexible shift options of 36 or 48 hours per week, including a schedule of days shifts, and welcomes first-time travelers.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 48 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Certifications include Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), American Womens Health and Obstetric Nurses (AWHONN) Intermediate, Basic Life Support (BLS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP); Education and experience include 2 years of obstetric nursing, previous charge nurse experience, patient ratio experience of 2:1 on days and nights, charting experience with the specified community hospital system, and knowledge of obstetrical procedures.

- Float: Float rotation may be required as needed within scope.
- Additional Information: The role involves managing antepartum, anticoagulation therapy, antihypertensives, assisting with high-risk deliveries, vaginal deliveries, C-section rotations, use of electronic fetal monitoring (EFM), sterile vaginal exams, triage of obstetrical patients, and supporting neonatal care for a daily census estimated at a facility with 15 beds and 15 rooms. The position requires compliance with facility protocols and rapid response team collaboration.
