Description

Job Summary:
Dialysis Nurse in Pocatello, Idaho. This position involves providing inpatient hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis care in a Level II trauma hospital with comprehensive stroke and chest pain accreditation. The role includes supporting dialysis equipment troubleshooting, supporting ICU units with SLEDD procedures, and potentially orienting new dialysis staff during shifts.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Days, 12-hour shifts from 11:00 to 23:00 with on-call responsibilities, minimum 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Valid license in the state or a compact state, current certifications including Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), no minimum years of experience required, ability to cannulate arteriovenous fistulas and grafts, and inpatient dialysis experience preferred
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Epic charting system and working in a trauma-level II facility
  • Float: Float rotation may be required
  • Additional Information:
    • This unit primarily provides hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis support, including SLEDDs managed by ICU nurses.
    • Equipment used includes Tablo dialysis machines and Baxter Claria Homechoice for PD.
    • Must adhere to the 100-mile radius rule; local candidates are not accepted.
    • Candidates must have a valid license at the time of submittal and have prior experience or training in acute care inpatient dialysis.
    • Onboarding includes completing core items and labs within 48 hours of contract signing; orientation modules are completed onsite during orientation.
