Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) Nurse in Eureka, California. This position involves providing specialized perioperative nursing care within an outpatient surgery unit. The role includes preparing patients for surgery, assisting during procedures, and managing recovery processes in a fast-paced outpatient environment.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours shift hours, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid California license, at least 1 year of OR experience, BLS certification, and ACLS certification
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS
• Specialty: Operating Room (OR)
• Experience: 1 year of OR experience preferred; minimum of 0 years required
• Patient Age Groups: Adolescents, Adults, Pediatrics, Geriatrics
• Unit Type: Ambulatory outpatient surgery unit
• Patient Census: Average of 25 patients daily
• Additional Unit Details: Responsible for prepping patients for surgery, monitoring, and recovery; includes managing perioperative procedures with specialized equipment and protocols.
• Travel Experience: Not required
• Float: Float rotation may be required
• Additional Information: Candidates will be involved in pre-op and post-op patient care, including assessment, IV management, and patient education. Flexibility to work specified holidays and availability for pre-employment modules are essential. References covering the last 3 years are required, along with response to relevant questions about previous experience at a similar facility.
