Description
Job Summary:
A Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Surgical Suite procedures is needed in Boston, Massachusetts. This role involves providing comprehensive nursing care to surgical patients utilizing the nursing process, ensuring safe, effective, and patient-centered care within the standards of the department and regulatory agencies. The position requires clinical expertise in the operating room setting with a focus on patient safety and recovery.
Job Details:
- Shift: Days; 10 hours per shift; minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, relevant nursing certification, at least 0 years of experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in ophthalmology and otolaryngology (ENT) preferred.
- Additional Information: The RN will perform patient assessments, utilize recovery-oriented frameworks, and participate in multidisciplinary treatment planning. Responsibilities include accurate documentation, safe medication administration using BARCODE medication verification scanning, effective communication during shift reports, and leadership during medical and psychiatric emergencies. The role also involves coordinating patient care interventions, leading patient education groups, and providing supervision of MHSs. Emergency response leadership and de-briefing following critical incidents are integral parts of the role.
