Job Summary:
Psychiatric Unit Registered Nurse position available in Santa Fe, New Mexico. This role involves coordinating and implementing patient care specific to the mental health patient population on the assigned unit. The nurse will ensure quality care is delivered efficiently and safely, adhering to the standards of the organization and demonstrating professionalism and compassion toward patients, families, and staff.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Day shift from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Current New Mexico Registered Nurse (RN) license or current Compact state license; BLS Certification; CPI certification or equivalent (Blue Card preferred).
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in psychiatric nursing or behavioral health settings; additional nursing certifications such as B.S.N. or MSN are advantageous.
• Responsibilities:
  • Obtain and record initial assessments and establish patient care priorities based on age, symptoms, and psychosocial needs.
  • Re-assess patients systematically to monitor progress and identify trends requiring intervention.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans within established standards of care.
  • Make informed nursing decisions based on clinical evaluations and patient outcomes.
  • Participate in health education and discharge planning with patients and significant others.
  • Implement and document timely and appropriate interventions.
  • Perform Point of Care testing procedures as required.
