Job Summary:
The ICU (Intensive Care Unit) nursing position is located in West Virginia. This role involves providing critical care to a diverse patient population, including COVID-positive patients, with approximately 50% of patients requiring specialized attention for COVID related conditions. The position offers night shifts with the potential for block scheduling and flexible contract lengths. The ideal candidate will be prepared to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment within a 20-bed critical care unit.

Job Details:

• Location: 327 Medical Park Drive, Bridgeport, West Virginia, 26330
• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, with weekends as scheduled, minimum 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS; Education: not specified; Experience: 2 years in ICU or critical care; Licensure: valid license to submit; Location: must be willing to wait for licensure; no experience requirement specified otherwise
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with COVID patient care, Floating to multiple ICUs (although unlikely), Familiarity with EPIC charting system, experience in a trauma level 2 setting
• Additional Information: The ICU unit has 20 beds with a high percentage of COVID patients. Providers may be expected to float, but this is unlikely. The unit cares for a variety of conditions including cardiac, post angioplasty, diabetic ketoacidosis, sepsis, and post-surgical patients. The contract duration can be shorter than 16 weeks, with options for block scheduling; candidates with or without EPIC experience are considered.
