Job Summary
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) RN position available in the healthcare organization. This role involves providing advanced nursing care to neonatal patients within an acute hospital setting, including direct patient care, patient/family education, and care coordination. The position requires delivering holistic and individualized care to neonates, with a focus on critical and high-risk cases.

Job Details

• Position: Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) RN
• Certifications: CA Registered Nurse Licensure, BLS (American Heart Association), NRP
• Required Qualifications: CA RN Licensure, BLS (American Heart Association), NRP certification, minimum of 2 years of level III or level IV NICU experience, charge and high-risk delivery experience preferred, experience with electronic charting systems such as Epic, and at least 2 years of recent NICU experience.
• Schedule: Nights shift, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week, starting 10/19/2026, ending 01/18/2027.
• Additional Information: Duties include administration of blood and blood products, APGAR scoring, arterial line management, assistance with lumbar puncture and high-risk deliveries, neonatal assessments including blood glucose monitoring, phototherapy, ventilator management, and family education. Clinical skills required include respiratory management, IV therapy, NICU-specific procedures, and use of specialized equipment such as ECMO, Nitric Oxide (INo), and ventilators.
• Preferred Qualifications: 5 years of experience, patient ratio experience of 3 neonates per nurse, charting experience in Epic, community hospital experience, and prior LTAC or trauma level II experience.
• Additional Requirements: Willingness to float as needed, schedule involves every other weekend, and adherence to facility policies including compliance and onboarding requirements.
