Description
Job Summary
Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) Albemarle, North Carolina. This position involves providing high-quality emergency care in a 16-bed facility serving both pediatric and adult patients. The RN will manage a variety of critical and non-critical cases, ensuring adherence to department protocols and delivering compassionate patient care.
Job Details
- Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: RN licensure; certifications including BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and CPI. Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) RN experience; location requirement of North Carolina; no experience requirement for this position.
- Preferred Qualifications: TNCC certification is preferred.
- Float: Float rotation may be required to multiple facilities within the designated region, with compensation for travel time between facilities.
- Additional Information:
- Facility is a 16-bed Emergency Department with no trauma designation and a Primary Stroke Center.
- Patient cases include pediatric and adult patients with diagnoses such as COPD, CHF, chest pain, MI, stroke, TIA, arrhythmias, uncontrolled diabetes, and minor trauma.
- Patient ratios are approximately 1:4-5 for RN and 1:10 for CNA, based on acuity.
- Support staff available includes CNA, charge nurse, IV/VAT team, RT, hospitalist, and ED physician team.
- Technology and equipment utilized include electronic medical record system, infusion pumps, monitors, and general med-surg equipment.
- The traveler must be willing to float across facilities within Region 1 as needed, with regional locations including Cabarrus, University City, Stanly, Lake Norman, and other Freestanding Emergency Departments.
- Orientation consists of 2 days within the department.
- Scheduling includes a weekend rotation every other week, with no call obligations.
- Travelers are expected to work approximately 75% of holidays.
- Up to 6 days off can be approved for RTO, excluding holidays.
- Scrub color required: Navy. Parking provided free of charge.
