Job Summary
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse positions are available in a healthcare organization located in Greenville, North Carolina. These roles involve providing specialized nursing care to oncology patients requiring surgical interventions as well as benign surgical patients across a diverse population. The position requires a commitment to a 12-hour shift schedule and offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, 32-bed flex unit that manages both intermediate and general care cases.

Job Details

• Location: Greenville, North Carolina
• Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: RN license (Compact license accepted), minimum of 1 year of nursing experience, experience with electronic medical records (Epic preferred), and travel experience in a hospital setting. Certifications required include Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association and Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.
• Preferred Qualifications: Ability to read and interpret electrocardiogram strips, experience floating to areas of equal or lesser care, and ability to work a schedule including three out of four holidays and six weekend shifts within a six-week schedule.
• Additional Information: The position involves self-scheduling and may require floating to areas of equal or lesser care. All requests for time off must be approved prior to confirmation; no additional time off will be granted during the assignment. The unit primarily serves oncology patients undergoing surgical procedures, including those under plastic surgeon management, and covers a variety of surgical populations such as ear, nose and throat, colorectal, OB-GYN, urology, gastrointestinal, genitourinary, and thoracic. Applicants must be willing to work within a 80-mile radius of the facility.
