Job Summary
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical Surgical Rehabilitation located in Sacramento, California. This position involves providing patient care for individuals with spinal cord injuries, brain injuries, stroke, amputations, and other neurological or orthopedic conditions. The role requires delivering specialized rehabilitation services in a state-of-the-art inpatient facility dedicated to maximizing patient recovery and quality of life.
Job Details
- Schedule: Shift from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM (Day shift), with a minimum of 36 hours per week, operating on a schedule that includes every other weekend.
- Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, 6 months of experience in a rehab or inpatient setting, and any available relevant certifications.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with spinal cord injuries, stroke, neurology, amputation, and wound care; strong patient care skills and a compassionate personality fit.
- Additional Information: The patient population includes adult patients aged 18 and older, with a focus on spinal cord, brain injuries, stroke, amputations, isolation patients, trachs, and wound care. The unit features 52 private beds with a current census of 35, patient ratios of 1:5, and a mix of equipment and specialized care requirements. Scrub color for RNs is navy blue, but other colors are acceptable. The shift begins with reporting at 7:30 AM. Parking is available for free in the back of the facility.
